FOLTx

Float operated level transmitter is a continuous liquid level measuring instrument using a magnetic floating ball as measuring element. Magnetic float ball moves up and down with the liquid level, and according to movement of float output of sensor changes.

FOLTx consist of three major components.

Magnetic float ball: - Ball designed with maintaining less specific gravity then Specific gravity of liquid. Magnet placed inside the ball float.
Array of Switch: - Hermitically sealed reed switch placed in Array. Each reed switch placed with resistor. Thus, getting output in the form of resistance.
Transmitter: - Transmitter is electronic circuit which convert input resistance into 0-20mA Analog signal.

The array of switches placed inside tube and magnetic float allowed to glid along the tube. The magnet inside the float causes reed switch to activate. Resistance from array converted to analog signal by transmitter used by controller or plc for calculating respective level in the vessel.
